Information

The swimming action

A stable, rear-weighted cast and a balanced roll on the retrieve let the ZNV95S be fished on a slow, natural fall or swum through the water column, giving both a vertical falling presentation and a horizontal swimming retrieve from one lure.

When to throw it

A heavy sinking pencil from Eclipse's PLUG range, it suits seabass water where covering depth matters — river mouths, harbours and surf — and where anglers want the option to switch between a falling and a swimming presentation without changing lures.

How to work it

Let it fall on a controlled semi-slack line for the vertical presentation, or wind it back steadily to bring out the balanced roll; a wire-through build means it can be worked confidently even when a larger fish is a possibility.

The setup it likes

A medium-heavy seabass spinning rod, a 3000-4000 reel, PE1-1.2 braid and a 16-20 lb fluorocarbon leader suit the 95mm, 27g ZNV95S across both retrieve styles. A rod with enough lifting power to work it back from depth on the swimming retrieve, and enough softness to protect hooks on the falling presentation, suits both of ZNV95S's fishing styles.
