The HPB Blanka applies a Hyper Bright coating to Duel's Blanka vertical jig, giving it a long-glowing night finish that still gives off a faint light even in darkness, on the same flutter-and-flash body as the standard Blanka. The flash and fall stay consistent cast after cast, giving a repeatable action that is easy to fish confidently once the retrieve pace is dialled in.

When to throw it

Built for high-speed short-jerk vertical jigging in fast tidal-current areas, particularly low-light and night sessions where the glow finish keeps the jig visible to fish. It also suits deeper water and stronger current where a fast-sinking, dense jig profile is needed to reach fish quickly.

How to work it

Drop it to the bottom or a marked depth, then work it with short, fast jerks of the rod tip, letting it flutter and glow on the fall between strokes. Keep the rod tip low between strokes so slack line does not build up, since most bites are felt rather than seen on this style of jig.

The setup it likes

Suits a 6'-6'6" light jigging rod rated to around 18g, a small spinning or baitcast reel, PE0.8-1.2 braid and a 16-20 lb fluorocarbon leader. Match jig weight closely to the rod's rating and the current strength on the day, sizing down in slack water and up when the tide is running hard.
