Daysprout DS Baby Vib Daddy G2

An oversized "big body" vibration lure built on the same bottom-fishing concept as the standard DS Baby Vib, giving a stronger presence in the water from the larger body. The action stays readable through the rod tip at typical area-pond retrieve speeds, which helps when picking a pace that keeps the lure hunting rather than tracking flat.

Suited to area-trout water where long casting distance and extra presence are needed to reach or call fish, rotated with the smaller DS Baby Vib to show bottom structure a different profile. It fits comfortably into a rotation alongside other area-trout lures across a normal pond session, from the first cast after stocking through to fish that have settled and grown more selective.

Work it with lift-and-fall and shake retrieves along the bottom, in the same way as the standard-size DS Baby Vib, using the extra body size to push more water. Match the retrieve to water clarity and light — slower and subtler in bright, clear conditions, a touch faster and more animated when the pond is coloured or overcast.

Pair with a light-medium area-trout rod around 5-6ft, a 1500-2000 reel, and 3-4lb fluorocarbon or nylon main line suited to a 6.8g vibration bait. Round drag settings off soft, since stocked trout are typically lightly hooked in the mouth and a hard drag setting risks pulling small hooks free during the fight.
