Information

The swimming action

Snecon is a pencil-style seabass plug built around an unfixed internal weight-ball system that produces a wide, unpredictable S-shaped swimming trajectory on a straight retrieve. The width of the S-curve widens with current speed and casting distance, and a free-moving weight ball adds a clattering sound as it swims.

When to throw it

Aimed primarily at seabass, Snecon suits open beaches, river mouths and breakwaters where distance and a searching, erratic swim path help draw fish from a wider area. The wider or faster the flow, the more pronounced and reliable the S-curve action becomes on the retrieve.

How to work it

Work it with a simple straight retrieve at a steady pace and let the internal weight ball do the work of creating the S-curve; there is no need for added rod twitches. Casting into current or working it across a fast-moving tide brings out the widest swimming path.

The setup it likes

Pair the 50S with a light seabass spinning rod, a 2500 size reel, PE0.8-1.2 braid and a 10-14 lb fluorocarbon leader suited to a compact sinking pencil.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?
