Description

Range Vibe 55TG is the tungsten-weighted version of Bassday's 55mm Range Vibe, built to cast further and hold deeper zones than the standard ES model.

Swapping in a tungsten weight takes the 55 up from the ES model's 10.0g to 14.5g, a 30%+ weight increase that adds casting distance and makes it easier to trace deep water, expanding the productive zone three-dimensionally. The action stays close to the standard ES model, only tightening slightly on a slow retrieve. Target species: seabass, flounder (hirame), flathead (magochi) and black sea bream (kurodai).

Size: 55mm. Weight: 14.5g. Hook: #8. Ring: #2. This listing stocks 7 colourways of the 55TG.

Information

The swimming action

The Range Vibe 55TG produces a tight, natural high-frequency vibration on a straight retrieve, tightening further when worked more actively. At 14.5g it holds a stable, lifelike thump through the retrieve rather than an erratic wander.

When to throw it

The tungsten-weighted 55TG swaps in a 14.5g tungsten weight for a 30%+ increase over the standard ES, adding casting distance and holding deeper zones. It targets seabass, flounder (hirame), flathead (magochi) and black sea bream (kurodai), and suits deeper current lines and drop-offs.

How to work it

Count it down to the target depth then work a straight, steady retrieve, mixing in occasional pauses or a lift-and-fall through current seams, drop-offs and structure. A straight retrieve alone is often enough to draw a strike.

The setup it likes

A seabass spinning rod around M-MH power (10-14g lure rating), a 2500-3000 reel, 10-12lb braid and a 14-16lb fluorocarbon leader suit the tungsten model's extra casting weight and deeper working range.
