Information

The swimming action

The Pepino DR is the deep-running model in the Pepino line, with a slim body and slim lip that allow an ultra-slow dead retrieve while still swimming properly, unlike typical wobbling minnow-style lures.

When to throw it

Works as a searching bait for picking apart deeper water on area lakes, sitting alongside the SR, MR, MR-SS and DR-SS in the same Pepino family.

How to work it

Retrieve it as slowly as possible; the slim profile is built to keep working at a dead-slow pace rather than needing speed to swim, which suits probing deeper water thoroughly.

The setup it likes

Suits a light area-trout rod for 1–3 g lures, a 1000–2000 spinning reel and 2–3 lb fluorocarbon or nylon main line, fished direct.
