Description

NAWABARI RANGE (Nawabari Range) is TIMON's dedicated ayu (sweetfish) lure rod, built for identifying ayu territory (nawabari) and presenting lures within it. Information

The blank

A convertible joint switches each blank between two lengths to match river width; the standard-tip M models give a direct, tubular feel for reading takes, while the ML solid-tip models load softer for a more delicate presentation.

What it's built for

Purpose-built for identifying ayu territory and presenting a lure within it, across rivers of varying width where the ability to shorten or lengthen the rod on the bank is an advantage.

How it fishes

Work the lure through defined territory rather than blind-casting, using the solid-tip ML models for delicate presentation and the standard-tip M models for a firmer, more direct feel through the take.

The setup it likes

Pair with a small spinning or baitcasting reel sized to the model and line suited to ayu lure fishing, with a short leader matched to river conditions.
