Description

Rayz Spectra is the 2026 full model change and flagship of TENRYU's Rayz lineup, pairing the series' slim, lightweight design with newer materials and construction refined through extensive field testing.

Blanks carry Carbon Nano Tube (C.N.T.) reinforcement in the butt section for added rigidity without extra weight, finished in a deep dark-violet pearl. Guides use titanium frames (T2 colour) with TORZITE rings (SiC ring on the tip guide only), compatible with both monofilament and PE line. Grips combine natural wood with Nishijin-weave carbon pipe and a knurled reel-seat ring for grip with wet hands, finished with an original rubber end cap; wood grain varies piece to piece as a natural material.

This listing stocks 9 models from the Rayz Spectra range: seven spinning models — RZS472S-UL (Twitchin' Custom), RZS512S-LML (Jerkin' Custom), RZS652S-LML (Super Yamame Custom), RZS712S-ML (Jerkin' MS Custom), RZS772S-MH (Mikija), RZS872S-H (Silver Scale Custom) and RZS4112S-LL — plus two baitcasting models, RZS472B-UL and RZS4112B-LL (both Twitchin' Custom).

Target species: trout, including yamame and river-run cherry salmon / sakuramasu on the larger river and lake models.

Information

The blank

C.N.T. carbon-nanotube reinforcement in the butt adds rigidity without extra weight, and titanium-frame guides with TORZITE rings (SiC on the tip) give the Rayz Spectra a refined, low-friction feel built from extensive field testing.

What it's built for

TENRYU's 2026 flagship trout series, spanning finesse twitching and jerking models for small streams up to the RZS872S-H for larger rivers and lakes, including river-run cherry salmon (sakuramasu) on the biggest models in the range.

How it fishes

Twitch and jerk minnows and spoons on the finesse models for wary stream trout, or work larger lures with more authority on the RZS712S-ML through RZS872S-H when sakuramasu or bigger lake trout are the target.

The setup it likes

Pair the finesse models with a 1000–1500 reel on 2–4 lb line, and the larger RZS772S-MH and RZS872S-H with a 2000–2500 reel on 6–10 lb line for sakuramasu.
