Information

The blank

A 1-piece High Power Solid glass blank gives Short Arm GS a fast-action, forgiving bend built around alphatackle's boat-fishing lineup, feeling bites clearly through the solid glass tip.

What it's built for

An all-rounder boat rod series for a wide range of Japanese offshore bottom species, with target lists varying slightly by model from isaki and aji up through amberjack, deep-sea species, octopus and squid.

How it fishes

The 73-170MH suits lighter, more finesse-oriented bottom fishing, the 73-170H steps up for heavier tackle and bigger amberjack, and the 82-165MH is the longest, heaviest-duty option for the same heavy-tackle species.

The setup it likes

Pairs with a small-to-mid boat baitcasting or electric reel on 30-60lb line, matched to the model's power rating and target species.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?
