Description

The Tackle House Tai Jig TJ40 is a 54mm, 40g metal jig from Tackle House's Tai Jig line, built for madai (true sea bream) jigging. The body uses a T-section cross-section design so that on the fall it moves with a serpentine, fluttering roll, and on the retrieve it holds a stable rolling-tail posture; it can be worked vertically, horizontally or diagonally at a range of retrieve speeds and jerking cadences. Hooks are sold separately — the line-eye design supports direct attachment, swivel rigging, or assist hooks.

This listing stocks the following colourways: NO.1 (Green Gold), NO.2 (Red Gold), NO.3 (Sardine), NO.4 (Orange Gold), NO.5 (Pink Silver Glow Berry), NO.6 (Blue Pink), NO.7 (Chart Gold), NO.8 (Pink Full Glow), and NO.9 (Green Lemon).

Information

The swimming action

A T-section body shape gives this, the smallest Tai Jig, a serpentine, fluttering roll on the fall and a stable rolling-tail posture on the retrieve.

When to throw it

Built for madai (true sea bream) jigging in shallower water or lighter current where a smaller, slower-falling profile draws more bites.

How to work it

Work it vertically, horizontally or diagonally at a range of retrieve speeds and jerking cadences; the line-eye design supports direct attachment, swivel rigging or assist hooks. Hooks are sold separately.

The setup it likes

Suits a light jigging rod rated to around 40g, a 3000-4000 reel, PE 0.8-1.5 line and a 20-30 lb fluorocarbon leader.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?

Yes. Every item is genuine, sourced only through authorised distributors — never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
