The Tackle House Feed Popper 135 (フィードポッパー135 / CFP135) is a saltwater popper built for mahi-mahi, bonito, tuna, aomono (blue-back pelagic species) and hirasuzuki, fished from shore or offshore. At 135mm and 45g, it's specced for ST-56 #1/0 trebles.

When to throw it

Built for mahi-mahi, bonito, tuna, aomono (blue-back pelagics) and hirasuzuki fished from shore or offshore, best when fish are actively working bait on the surface around current lines, structure and bait balls at first and last light.

How to work it

Work it with sharp, rhythmic rod-tip jerks to pop and chug, pausing between pulls to let the disturbance settle before the next strike window. Vary the cadence until fish commit.

Suits a heavy-power popping rod matched to a 6000-8000 reel, 40-50 lb braid and a 50-60 lb fluorocarbon or wire leader for toothy, hard-fighting pelagics.
