A medium to medium-light power blank with a moderate-fast to fast taper gives Namanchu the backbone to turn a big catfish away from snags while keeping enough tip give to work topwater frogs and swimbaits properly.

What it's built for

Built specifically for catfish (namazu) around weedy, snag-heavy freshwater: night sessions on topwater plugs and frogs, or working slow-sinking swimbaits along cover edges.

How it fishes

The baitcasting DNAZ-67M-2 gives more lifting power for heavier lures and stronger hook-sets; the spinning DNAZ-S67ML-2 casts lighter lures more easily and suits finesse presentations around sparse cover.

The setup it likes

Pair the baitcasting model with a 7:1 baitcaster on 40-50lb braid, or the spinning model with a 3000-4000 size reel on 20-30lb braid, both with a short heavy fluorocarbon leader.
