Smith CB.Masamune 115g is Smith's center-balance long jig for slow jigging in near-shore waters, built to the model's uniform 185mm length across all weights (95g/115g/135g/155g).

The body is shaved as thin as possible with a laser-edge back and flat profile, designed to keep a tight action through short-to-medium-stroke slow jerks while cutting water cleanly on the fall. Sold in Japan as CB.マサムネ.

When to throw it

Built for slow jigging in near-shore waters, at its best fished from a boat over structure or bait schools where a controlled, unhurried jig presentation is favoured over fast, erratic action.

How to work it

Work it with short-to-medium-stroke slow jerks, giving the jig time to cut and glide on the drop between each pull rather than ripping it aggressively.

The setup it likes

Suits a slow-jigging boat rod rated for jigs in this weight range, a mid-size lever-drag or spinning reel, PE2-3 braid and a fluorocarbon leader around 30-40 lb.
