Description

The BEASTMASTER 9000 (ビーストマスター 9000) is Shimano's high-power electric reel built for live-bait fishing and large yellowfin tuna. It pairs the GIGA-MAX MOTOR — a high-torque brushless motor found only in the Beastmaster line — with a reinforced gear system that mounts its reduction gear on ball bearings, delivering strong, sustained retrieve power for kanpachi (カンパチ/greater amberjack), kue (クエ/kelp grouper) and kihada (キハダ/yellowfin tuna).

Line capacity of PE8-900m also suits deep-water fishing for kinmedai (キンメダイ/splendid alfonsino), mutsu (ムツ/gnomefish), akoudai (アコウダイ/rougheye rockfish) and aburabouzu (アブラボウズ/skilfish). A colour Tankenmaru fish-finder screen displays bottom depth, structure and fish activity on the reel in real time.

The GIGA-MAX brushless motor, used only in the BeastMaster line, pairs with a reinforced gear system whose reduction gear rides on ball bearings, giving strong, sustained retrieve power for long, hard-pulling fights rather than a quick burst of speed.

How it fishes
