Deto90Finesse（デト90フィネス）is Ricordo's surf finesse rod, built for delicate presentations to pressured flounder (hirame) in the surf zone. Compared with the standard Deto90, its softer tip allows finer lure manipulation while retaining a high level of bottom-touch sensitivity.

Specs: length 9ft (2-piece, 141.5cm closed), standard weight 166g, lure weight range 5–40g, PE line 0.6–1.5, tip diameter 1.6mm. The blank is built from laminated carbon prepreg sheets (24t, 30t, Toray T1100G, Toray M40X).

A softer tip than the standard Deto90 loads early for delicate lure control, while the laminated 24t/30t and Toray T1100G/M40X carbon blank keeps a high level of bottom-touch sensitivity through the rest of the rod, so subtle bites and bottom contact both come through clearly.

What it's built for

Built for surf sessions targeting hirame that have seen heavy lure pressure and need a slower, more subtle presentation. It suits open beaches and river-mouth surf where a finesse retrieve out-fishes standard-action rods on pressured fish.

How it fishes

Work metal jigs, minnows or soft-plastic swimbaits with a slow, steady retrieve along the bottom, using small rod-tip twitches rather than aggressive sweeps. The soft tip forgives light hooksets, useful on the often-tentative takes of pressured flounder.

The setup it likes

Pair with a 3000–4000 size spinning reel loaded with PE0.6–1.5 running line and a fluorocarbon leader of roughly 12–20 lb, sized to match the 5–40 g lure range.
