The blank

Across the SKUAD range, aramid-reinforced carbon blanks are tuned model by model — a stiff tairaba tip, a supple light-jigging taper, or a magochi tip built for solid bottom bites — so the blank's feel changes with the technique it targets.

What it's built for

SKUAD covers Japanese boat and inshore techniques: tairaba drops for madai, light and super-light jigging over structure, magochi bottom fishing, chining for black porgy, sawara casting and general inshore game work from a boat.

How it fishes

Each model is built around its technique's standard retrieve — a slow, steady tairaba wind, jigging lifts and falls, or a patient bottom crawl for magochi — so match the retrieve to the specific SKUAD model rather than treating the range as one rod.

The setup it likes

Pair with a small baitcasting or spinning reel sized to the model, PE 0.6–2 line and a fluorocarbon leader, following the specific model's rated line class.

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 5 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

10 to 20 business days on Standard (tracked) or Economy, or 3 to 7 business days on Express EMS with tracking and insurance. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

VAT is collected at checkout, so there is nothing to pay on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine Japanese stock?

Yes. Every item is the Japanese domestic release with the original JAN barcode, sourced from an authorised Japanese distributor, never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
