Description

Roaming Rhapsody is Legit Design's multi-piece travel rod series, built for anglers who want fishing to travel with the rest of their life — road trips, surfing, skateboarding, and camping — instead of being boxed into one body of water or one target species.

The series is built around a regular-taper blank tuned across UL to MH power for a smooth bend through to a strong core, breaking down into compact travel-length sections that reassemble into a full casting or spinning rod.

This listing stocks all 8 models in the Roaming Rhapsody line, in both baitcasting (C) and spinning (S) configurations:

RRC50UL-4 – 5'0", 4-piece, 82g, max lure 7g, line 3-6lb
RRC66ML-5 – 6'6", 5-piece, 112g, max lure 21g, line 8-14lb
RRC66M-5 – 6'6", 5-piece, 117g, max lure 28g, line 10-18lb
RRC68MH-5 – 6'8", 5-piece, 125g, max lure 35g, line 12-20lb
RRS50UL-4 – 5'0", 4-piece, 66g, max lure 7g, line 3-6lb
RRS66L-5 – 6'6", 5-piece, 98g, max lure 14g, line 3-10lb
RRS70ML-5 – 7'0", 5-piece, 103g, max lure 28g, line 4-12lb
RRS76M-5 – 7'6", 5-piece, 118g, max lure 35g, line PE #2.5

Target species named by the maker include bass, catfish (namazu), trout, seabass, rockfish, mebaru (Japanese rockfish), kamasu (barracuda) and aji (Japanese horse mackerel), spanning freshwater lure fishing through to light shore jigging in saltwater.

Information

The blank

A regular-taper blank tuned across UL to MH power gives a smooth bend through to a strong core, breaking down into compact 4- or 5-piece travel sections that reassemble into a full casting or spinning rod.

What it's built for

Built for anglers who want fishing to travel with the rest of their life - road trips and camping - across freshwater bass and trout through to light saltwater seabass, rockfish and aji.

How it fishes

Techniques span the range's targets: crankbait and soft-plastic retrieves for bass, light spoon and minnow work for trout, and small jig or plug casting for light shore-jigging species.

The setup it likes

Match reel and line to the model chosen: a small spinning or baitcast reel with 3-20lb line for freshwater models, or a light spinning reel on PE~2.5 for the saltwater-capable lengths.
