The Jackson Pintail Sawara Tune 42g is a 120 mm, Super Sinking saltwater lure rigged from the factory with a #2 hook, the larger of the two Pintail Sawara Tune sizes. It is a heavier, purpose-redesigned version of Jackson's original Pintail Sagoshi Tune, built specifically for larger Spanish mackerel (sawara) rather than simply scaled up from the sagoshi-sized original.
It reproduces the Sagoshi Tune's automatic flat-fall flashing action on a straightforward, steady retrieve, and at this bigger size it is aimed squarely at offshore boat fishing for large sawara, while remaining equally usable from the shore when anglers want to single out bigger fish from an active school.
