Description

The Jackall Maekon 180SF is a 180mm, 1.7oz class (approximately 48g) jointed swimbait with slow floating buoyancy and a rear feather hook sized #2. A thin ABS lip gives a maker-stated maximum diving depth of around 1.2m.

A mono-flex joint system increases body articulation, producing a time-lagged roll on the walk-the-dog action and a lively, natural motion on a straight retrieve. The flat-sided body with a slash-cut tail junction pushes a strong wake, while the silicone tail adds further water displacement without needing a fixing clip for removal or storage. This listing covers the official RT Fresh Ayu colourway.

Information

The swimming action

A mono-flex joint system increases body articulation, producing a time-lagged roll on a walk-the-dog action and a lively, natural motion on a straight retrieve, while a thin ABS lip gives a maximum diving depth of around 1.2m.

When to throw it

A large jointed swimbait suited to open water and along structure where a slow-floating, natural presentation can draw strikes from quality bass holding deep or suspended over structure and drop-offs.

How to work it

Work it on a straight retrieve for a lively swim, or walk-the-dog it to bring out the time-lagged joint roll; the silicone tail adds further displacement without needing removal for storage.

The setup it likes

A heavy swimbait rod, a reel geared around 5:1-6:1 with strong cranking power, 16-20lb fluorocarbon or braid with a matching leader suit this bait's weight and large-profile action on big-bass water.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.
