Description

The IKE-100 (Imakatsu Crank IKE-100) is part of IMAKATSU's IK-CRANK series, depth-tuned to naturally trace roughly the 1m range that suits ponds and similar waters. Length 48mm, weight 8g, floating.

Despite its small size it achieves class-leading casting distance and a high-pitch wobble even on an ultra-slow retrieve. Its winded lip produces a strong yet soft, slippery vibration that gives the illusion of something soft swimming. The diving depth stays shallow even with its long lip, letting it skillfully clear laydowns, rocks, and other obstacles.

Information

The swimming action

The IKE-100 is a small crankbait tuned to trace roughly the 1m range, giving class-leading casting distance and a high-pitch wobble even on an ultra-slow retrieve.

When to throw it

Suited to ponds and similar still or slow waters where largemouth bass hold around laydowns, rocks and other obstacles at around a metre deep.

How to work it

Retrieve slowly and steadily to let the winded lip produce its soft, slippery vibration; the shallow-running lip helps it deflect off cover cleanly.

The setup it likes

Suits a medium-power baitcasting rod, 6:1-7:1 low-profile reel, 10-12lb fluorocarbon or 20-30lb braid.
