Description

The Ima Pugachev's Cobra Kulbit is a 90mm, 12g topwater pencil built as a tuning model of the original Pugachev's Cobra, running a dog-walk action with the floating posture set vertical for a tight-width, quick action. It pairs with a #6 hook and a #3 split ring, and keeps the original model's easy, light-input operability.

Aimed at seabass, it suits river mouths, rivers, harbours and tidal flats, where its rhythmic surface dog-walk gives it plenty of appeal in close-quarters fishing.

Information

The swimming action

The Pugachev's Cobra Kulbit is a tuning model of the original Cobra, a 90 mm, 12 g topwater pencil with its floating posture set vertical for a tighter, quicker dog-walk action on a #6 hook and #3 split ring.

When to throw it

Aimed at seabass, it suits river mouths, rivers, harbours and tidal flats, where its rhythmic surface dog-walk gives it plenty of appeal in close-quarters fishing.

How to work it

Work it the same way as the original Cobra but expect a tighter, quicker response to rod input, useful in confined casting lanes.

The setup it likes

Pair with an ML 7–8 ft spinning rod, a 2500–3000 reel, 8–10 lb (PE 0.8–1) braid and a 14–16 lb fluorocarbon leader.
