Description

Hishimo SOLDUM HAKUROU63 (Soldum Hakurou63, added to the Soldum series as a new light-jigging model) wraps carbon tape around the traditional carbon solid blank to raise torsional and breaking strength, pushing up the ceiling for a light jigging rod. The supple, strong blank is built to reduce fish-off, suited to sakuramasu (cherry salmon), madai (red sea bream), tachiuo (largehead hairtail) and similar targets, while still able to handle a sudden pelagic strike around the 8kg class. All models use Fuji titanium SIC guides.

This listing stocks all six 63-series power grades across both baitcasting (B) and spinning (S) actions — UL (jig 40–150g, PE0.6–1.0), L (jig 60–180g, PE0.6–1.5) and ML (jig 80–250g, PE0.6–2.0) — each 6.3ft, 192cm stored, plus two further 510-series power grades, BL and BUL.

Information

The blank

Carbon tape wrapped around the traditional carbon-solid blank raises torsional and breaking strength over the standard Soldum action, giving the rod a supple but strong feel built to reduce fish-off during the fight.

What it's built for

A light-jigging rod suited to sakuramasu, madai and tachiuo grounds, with enough reserve power to handle a sudden pelagic strike up to around 8kg.

How it fishes

Works light jigs and tai-style presentations across three power grades (UL, L, ML) matched to jig weights from 40g up to 250g, in both baitcasting and spinning configurations.

The setup it likes

Pair with a small-to-mid jigging reel sized to the chosen power grade, PE0.6-1.0 (UL) up to PE0.6-2.0 (ML), and a fluorocarbon leader suited to the target species.
