A small vibration-style jig head lure in a Maiwashi (Japanese sardine) colourway, combining a jig head with a vibrating body for a tight, buzzing action on the retrieve. Its small profile and light-game action suit the fine lines and small hooks typical of aji and mebaru sessions after dark.

When to throw it

Suited to light-game sessions searching for aji and mebaru around structure and current lines. Most productive around lit areas, breakwaters and harbour structure after dark, when aji and mebaru move up in the water to feed.

How to work it

Wind it steadily to feel the vibration through the rod, mixing in occasional pauses to let it flutter down on a semi-slack line. Keep a taut, slack-free line so you can feel the subtle taps that light-game species give before fully committing to the bait.
