Description

Shower Blows is Evergreen's topwater search bait, designed by pro angler Morizo Shimizu. Its flat-sided body and distinctive bill produce a strong splatter-and-spit spray with bubbling, while a large tungsten weight gives it a rattle sound designed to punch through the water's surface and pull bass in from a wide area. A weight-balanced, low-drag body shape also delivers long casting distance even into a headwind.

A feather-dressed tail treble adds a lingering visual trigger between the bait's aggressive and pausing movements, helping induce and hold soft, hesitant bites. At 125 mm and 26.0 g, it is a floating bait built for covering a lot of water with a searching, walk-the-dog style retrieve.

Information

The swimming action

A flat-sided body and distinctive bill produce a strong splatter-and-spit spray with bubbling, backed by a large tungsten weight that gives a rattle sound designed to punch through the surface and pull bass in from a wide area.

When to throw it

A weight-balanced, low-drag body shape delivers long casting distance even into a headwind, making the 125mm, 26g Shower Blows a searching bait for covering a lot of water.

How to work it

Work it with a searching, walk-the-dog style retrieve; a feather-dressed tail treble adds a lingering visual trigger between the bait's aggressive and pausing movements, helping induce and hold soft, hesitant bites.

The setup it likes

A medium-heavy casting rod around 7ft with a 6.3:1-7:1 baitcasting reel and 14-16lb fluorocarbon suits walking this 125mm, 26g topwater bait, with a soft-enough tip to walk the bait without moving it too far on each twitch.
