Information

The swimming action

The Corsair's fat-tail, low-centre-of-gravity body produces a tighter, finer serpentine wobble at the 65 size than the larger 85, with an irregular, fleeing-baitfish action appearing once retrieve speed passes a certain point.

When to throw it

Part of Evergreen's Ocean Fleet saltwater seabass range, at its best on bachi (worm-hatch) events and other selective conditions where seabass are keyed onto small baitfish.

How to work it

Wind at a steady pace and gradually build speed through the retrieve; the irregular escape action that triggers strikes appears once a certain speed is reached, so avoid retrieving too slowly throughout.

The setup it likes

A medium-light 8-9ft seabass spinning rod with a 2500-3000 reel, PE 0.8-1.2 line and 12-16lb fluorocarbon leader suits the 65.

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.
