Evergreen Grass Ripper 1/4oz

At 1/4oz, the Evergreen Grass Ripper is the lightest jig in a range built by pro angler Kenta Onishi around a narrow, triangular head that slips easily into grass and cover and pulls back out again. The head's underside carries a V-keel, and the rear is kept compact and low in the centre of gravity to help the jig pop up and drop straight back down. It shares the range's heavy 4/0 wire hook and a wire keeper that grips the trailer securely without splitting it, sitting behind a silicone rubber skirt with a firm-set brush guard that can be trimmed for softer presentations.

It can be hopped as a reaction bait through weed for a sharp rise-and-fall action, or retrieved as a swimming jig — paired with a shad-tail trailer, the head's flat side panels add a wobbling, water-pushing action to the swim. Suited to bass fishing around grass, bushes, reeds and other snaggy cover, and light enough for finesse presentations in the smaller sizes of cover.
