Evergreen Grass Ripper 5/8oz

The Evergreen Grass Ripper 5/8oz is the heaviest jig in a skirted rubber jig range designed by pro angler Kenta Onishi, built around a narrow, triangular head that slips into grass and cover and pulls back out again, with a V-keel underside and a compact, low-centre-of-gravity rear. It shares the range's heavy 4/0 fluorocarbon-coated wire hook, a wire keeper that holds the trailer securely without splitting it, and a silicone rubber skirt set behind a firm brush guard that can be trimmed back for softer presentations.

Its extra weight suits longer casts and deeper or heavier cover, worked either as a reaction jig hopped through weed for a sharp pop-up and vertical fall, or retrieved as a swimming jig with a shad-tail trailer, where the head's flat side panels generate a wobbling, water-pushing action. Aimed at bass fishing around grass, bushes, reeds and other heavy cover.
