Information

The swimming action

A ring-shaped, ribbed body grabs the water for a strong presence, while a curly tail balanced for weight and hardness adds a steady kicking action as the bait falls or is retrieved. That kind of natural, unhurried presentation matters most in clear, calm water where fish get a long, close look at a bait before deciding whether to eat it.

When to throw it

Redesigned specifically for rock fish, suited to rock, reef and broken-bottom marks where a bulky, easily-located bait helps draw fish out of cover. It is worth carrying a small spread of jighead weights and colours to cover the different current strengths and light levels you meet across a session.

How to work it

Rig on a jighead matched to depth and current and work it with slow lifts and falls close to structure, letting the ribbed body and curly tail do the work rather than a fast retrieve. Keep the rod tip low and watch the line closely, since bites from light-game species often show up as nothing more than a faint tap or a slight change in tension.

The setup it likes

A rockfish spinning rod around L to ML power, a 2000-2500 reel, 4-8 lb main line and a 4-8 lb fluorocarbon leader suit fishing this bait tight to structure. A soft, forgiving rod tip helps cushion light hooks and fine leaders so fish stay pinned all the way back to the net or rock ledge.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?

Yes. Every item is genuine, sourced only through authorised distributors — never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
