Description

The Jukusei Aqua ST Grub 2 is a 51mm soft plastic worm from Ecogear's Jukusei Aqua ('Hybrid bait x lure material') range, carefully selected specifically for targeting Mebaru (scorpion fish/Japanese rockfish). Packs contain 18 pieces, pre-soaked in the range's scent-infused preservative liquid.

A simple shape produces an extremely natural, weak wave action, with stable flight motion for excellent castability.

Information

The swimming action

A simple, slim worm shape produces a weak, natural wave through the body rather than a strong kick, keeping the profile subtle in the water. That understated action, combined with a stable flight path in the air, is exactly what mebaru specialists look for in a close-range finesse bait.

When to throw it

Purpose-built for mebaru (rockfish) fishing around harbour walls, rock edges and light structure, mainly worked after dark when mebaru move up to feed. The scent-infused preservative liquid it ships in keeps the plastic supple and attractive through repeated casts on a cold night session.

How to work it

Rig on a light jighead and work it with a slow, steady retrieve or a gentle lift-and-fall just off the bottom or through mid-water, pausing often since most bites come on the drop or during the pause rather than mid-retrieve.

The setup it likes

A dedicated mebaru rod around UL to L power, a 1000-2000 reel, 2-4 lb (PE 0.2-0.4) main line and a 2-4 lb fluorocarbon leader match the light jigheads this bait is designed to carry. A soft, forgiving rod tip helps cushion light hooks and fine leaders so fish stay pinned all the way back to the net or rock ledge.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?

Yes. Every item is genuine, sourced only through authorised distributors — never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
