DUO Realis Spinbait 80

Twin cupped propellers front and rear spin on the fall and throughout the retrieve, causing the body to rock and list slightly rather than swim dead straight. That off-balance roll, combined with prop flash and hum, mimics the subtle vibration of a distressed baitfish far better than a lure that tracks perfectly true.

Suited to clear water with good visibility, where bass can see and react to a subtle presentation from distance — highland reservoirs, gin-clear natural lakes, or heavily pressured fisheries where fish have seen every crankbait going. It also excels around the spawn and during schooling activity when bass are keyed on baitfish near docks and laydowns.

This isn't a search bait — cast beyond a known fish or piece of cover and count it down to the target depth, then crawl it back on a painfully slow, steady retrieve with the reel handle alone; avoid twitching it, the props do the work. Let it sink on a semi-slack line to keep the fall natural.

Light line is essential: 6-8lb fluorocarbon or a light braid-to-fluoro leader on a soft-tipped spinning rod. Thin-diameter line lets the bait sink and swim naturally instead of riding up in the water column. A rod with a soft tip that still has backbone in the butt helps cast this light a lure comfortably and cushions a hook-pull on the light leader typical of pressured, clear-water bass fishing.
