Description

The CERTATE HD (Certate HD) is Daiwa's only full-aluminium small spinning reel, pairing an aluminium AIRDRIVE ROTOR with a Full Metal Monocoque body for high rigidity, strong winding performance, and a distinctly metallic feel.

It's built for demanding retrieves — fighting large fish, and working metal vibes, blade jigs, and large minnows — with an ATD TOUGH drag system using heavy-duty carbon washers, Magsealed protection, and 12 ball bearings. Recommended for large seabass, large trout, squid metal jigging, and shore jigging. Available in 3000, 4000, and 5000 sizes.

Information

The drivetrain

An aluminium AIRDRIVE ROTOR paired with a Full Metal Monocoque body gives Daiwa's only full-aluminium small spinning reel a distinctly metallic, rigid feel, with none of the flex a resin-bodied reel shows under hard winding.

What it's built for

Built for demanding retrieves rather than all-day finesse casting: fighting large fish and working metal vibes, blade jigs and large minnows for big seabass, big trout and squid metal jigging.

How it fishes

The ATD TOUGH drag with heavy-duty carbon washers holds steady under sustained pressure from big fish, and Magsealed protection with 12 ball bearings keeps performance consistent after repeated saltwater use.

Spools and spares

Pair with a shore-jigging or big-lure spinning rod, 1.5-2.5 PE main line and a 20-30lb fluorocarbon leader.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

10 to 20 business days on Standard (tracked) or Economy, or 3 to 7 business days on Express EMS with tracking and insurance. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

VAT is collected at checkout, so there is nothing to pay on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?

Yes. Every item is genuine, sourced only through authorised distributors — never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
