Description
The Apia Argo 69 is the smallest model in the Argo topwater series at 69mm and 8.5g, and the only sinking version in the line-up. It carries two #8 trebles (BKK FANGS-62UA) and uses a magnet weight-transfer system to help maintain casting distance from such a compact body. The sinking design lets it be worked just under the surface as well as on top, reducing the missed strikes that floating topwater plugs can suffer when fish knock the lure without hooking up.
Developed by Apia pro staff Kunihiko Hamamoto, the Argo 69 is aimed at seabass and chinu (black bream) feeding on small baitfish, and doubles as a compact topwater option for smaller estuary species. It is available in ten colourways.
