Abu Garcia Surf Slayer（サーフスレイヤー）is a casting jig with a lead body, engineered for stable flight distance so anglers can search wide areas efficiently. It supports multiple retrieve actions — jerking, plus wobbling on slow and fast straight retrieves — and holds a near-horizontal posture on the fall for a fluttering, weakened-baitfish motion. Comes rigged with an assist hook and a treble hook.

This is the 40g version (93mm body length) in the Olive Back（オリーブバック）colourway, a natural finish suited to a range of baitfish patterns.

The Surf Slayer 40g is a lead-bodied casting jig built for stable, long-distance flight. Worked back it wobbles on both slow and fast straight retrieves, and on the fall it holds a near-horizontal posture with a fluttering, weakened-baitfish motion.

When to throw it

A surf and shore casting jig for covering wide areas quickly — searching open beaches, river mouths and surf gutters for seabass, flatfish and other predators feeding on baitfish.

How to work it

Cast at distance and work it on a straight retrieve, varying speed to trigger takes, or add occasional jerks; many fish take the jig on the flutter as it falls after a jerk, so pause and let it fall through the strike zone.

The setup it likes

Suits a medium-power surf/shore-jigging spinning rod, a 3000–4000-size reel, 12–20 lb braid and a fluorocarbon leader of similar breaking strain.
