Description

ValkeIN Shine Ride is the original, long-running model in the series: a rip-less bottom minnow whose distinctive body shape gives it the balance to run the gamut from a high-appeal action that draws in active fish to the fast dart that switches on inactive ones. It is a proven performer in both area and native trout fishing.

Category: Minnow, Sinking. Its rip-less design steps the bait side to side on rod work and responds to a straight retrieve, lift-and-fall or twitch; a properly set tail keeps it standing on bottom contact for fewer missed bites and better hook-up rates. This listing stocks the 3.6g / 45mm size, ring #0, matched to Gyro Hook Ride #6.

Information

The swimming action

Shine Ride is the original, long-running model in the series: a rip-less bottom minnow whose distinctive body shape gives it the balance to run the gamut from a high-appeal action that draws in active fish to a fast dart that switches on inactive ones. This 3.6g, 45 mm sinking size runs a #0 ring matched to a Gyro Hook Ride #6.

When to throw it

A proven performer in both area and native trout fishing, it suits fishing the bottom methodically where trout are holding deep or feeding close to the substrate.

How to work it

Its rip-less design steps the bait side to side on rod work and responds to a straight retrieve, lift-and-fall or twitch; a properly set tail keeps it standing on bottom contact for fewer missed bites and better hook-up rates.

The setup it likes

A light-to-medium spinning rod (L–ML), 1500–2000 size reel, 3–4 lb main line and a matching fluorocarbon leader suit this sinking minnow's casting weight and bottom-contact role.
