Targets: yellowtail, bonito, dolphinfish, Spanish mackerel.

X-wrapping carbon tape suppresses blank torsion so the Sprint Stick BM casts poppers and stickbaits on a true line, loading progressively through a regular action that holds up under sustained pressure from strong offshore fish.

What it's built for

Built for offshore casting to yellowtail, bonito, dolphinfish and Spanish mackerel around bait schools, current lines and structure, with the S72ML suited to lighter 70g plugs and the S72M stepping up to 90g for bigger fish or wind.

How it fishes

Works best with a fast, aggressive popping or walk-the-dog retrieve to trigger reaction strikes from pelagic species, with the Fuji SKDPS reel seat's backstop lock nut keeping the reel secure through hard hook-sets.

The setup it likes

Match to a 4000–8000 spinning reel spooled with PE 3.0–4.0 and a 40–60 lb fluorocarbon leader for offshore casting to pelagic species.
