The Tackle House Elfin Platy is a 45mm, 2.1g floating topwater pencil bait for trout, built for still water where fish are keyed onto the surface. Renewed in 2026 with a single-hook configuration and a new colour chart, it produces a sharp side-to-side walk-the-dog action that raises a wake across the surface film.
Unlike lipped plugs, the Platy rewards anglers who enjoy working the rod tip themselves, mimicking a small baitfish darting left and right on the surface. It suits calm, still water where trout are actively feeding up top.
