Description

The Smith Still Area Tune is a fully tuned area-fishing version of Smith's popular Still match-the-bait minnow, produced under the supervision of tournament angler Hiroshi Mizuma. It measures 40 mm, weighs 1.3 g, and floats, running on a single Van Hook SP-21BL #8 fitted to the tail on two #00 split rings.

Built for stocked area-trout ponds, it is tuned for the "magic jerk" presentation: cast out, pull it quickly below the trout's sightline to make it vanish, then apply line tension to control its posture as it rises straight back up into view, bringing wary, well-pressured fish back for another look.
