Description

The PX278E12 is Prox’s 1.2m carbon gaff shaft, built as a one-piece 97% carbon blank with an EVA grip for a secure hold when a big fish needs boating quickly. It fits Whitworth 1/2 (W1/2) thread gaff heads, the size widely used across the tackle industry, though Prox notes that a small minority of other makers’ heads may not thread on due to manufacturing tolerances.

It weighs 218g, folds to 120cm and has a 23.8mm butt diameter, with a 2.6m rope included for securing the gaff once a fish is hooked. This shaft is sold on its own; a gaff head is required separately.
