The package includes a brush guard balancing snag guarding with hook-up, an original hook tuned for penetration and strength, and a monofilament keeper that holds slim trailers securely. The resin-tungsten head and tuned eye position give the Gunter Jig Light a swimming fall rather than a straight drop, letting it slip through brush and timber without picking up debris. Despite the light head it still sinks into cover, tracking a steady path on the way down.

When to throw it

Suited to bass holding tight in wood, brush piles and matted vegetation where a subtler fall than a standard jig is needed. It reads well in clear water and pressured lakes where fish get a long look before committing, and works year-round on eco-tackle-regulated tournament waters.

How to work it

Pitch or flip it into cover and let the jig fall on a semi-slack line, watching for a line jump or tick that signals a bite on the way down. Once it settles, hop it gently along the bottom before moving to the next target rather than working a long retrieve.
