Description

METAL WASABY is a jigging spoon built for deep, tough cold-water conditions where bass are inactive. Its shape produces a slide-and-wobble fall with an irregular rhythm, and the alloy body generates sound to draw fish in from a distance.

It suits the "shooting" technique of dropping straight down onto fish marked on a fish finder. Available in 4g, 8g, 12g, 18g and 27g, all sinking; this listing is the 27g. Target species: largemouth bass.

Information

The swimming action

The Metal Wasaby's shape produces a slide-and-wobble fall with an irregular rhythm rather than a straight drop, and the alloy body generates sound on the fall to draw bass in from a distance in deep water.

When to throw it

Built for deep, tough cold-water conditions when bass are inactive and holding on structure well off the bank, best fished from a boat over fish marked on a sounder.

How to work it

Drop it straight down onto marked fish using the 'shooting' technique, letting it fall on a controlled line and watching for a take on the drop; short hops off the bottom can also draw a reaction bite.

The setup it likes

A 6'0"-6'6" medium-heavy vertical jigging rod with a fast tip for feeling the fall, paired with a low-profile baitcaster or spinning reel and 10-14lb fluorocarbon for direct bottom contact.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?

Yes. Every item is genuine, sourced only through authorised distributors — never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
