The blank

An 85%-carbon, aramid-reinforced blank with a fine solid tip gives an extremely soft, telegraphing bend suited to the smallest hooks and lightest lines.

What it's built for

Built for ultra-finesse bass presentations — down-shot and other micro rigs fished on very light line where the softest possible tip prevents pull-outs.

How it fishes

Fish slowly and let the rod's soft tip show the bite; sweep rather than snap into the hookset given the light line class.

The setup it likes

Pair with a small 1000–2000 spinning reel and 1.5–4lb fluorocarbon or light PE with a fine leader.
