SATOSHI BAE (サトシバエ) is a fly-imitation soft lure produced by bass angler SATOSHI PRO under the LEAPS name, molded in the shape of a fly with wings and legs. It comes in 5 colourways, each built for a specific look and situation:

BOYS & GIRLS — a green pumpkin chartreuse combining a natural look with strong appeal; chartreuse shows to fish looking up, green pumpkin to fish looking down.
Arena (アリーナ) — a Satoshi Bae take on the classic young-shrimp (moebi) colour, effective from sight fishing through feeding presentations against bass keyed in on shrimp.
Voyage (ボヤージュ) — a roasted, richly toned green pumpkin that works from clear to muddy water and holds up as a year-round staple.
MARIA — a solid white with strong visibility and appeal, suited to muddy water, overcast conditions, and reaction bites.
Trauma (トラウマ) — a spice-toned, deep chartreuse built to stick in a bass's memory, useful in murky water or overcast light when distant fish need to notice it.

Molded as a fly with wings and legs, it sits and twitches on the surface or is worked just subsurface rather than swimming with a built-in kick, relying on subtle rod-worked movement to imitate insect or shrimp activity.

When to throw it

Fished when bass are keyed on shrimp, fry or insect activity near the surface, sight-fishing calm water, working the margins in low light, or as a finesse follow-up when reaction baits are refused.

How to work it

Twitch or pause it on a slack line to make the wings and legs kick without moving the bait far, letting it sit still for long pauses between twitches to draw a considered bite.

The setup it likes

A light to medium-light spinning rod, 6-8 lb fluorocarbon and a 2000-2500 reel suit this finesse presentation.
