Description

The Driftfry 3" Elastomer is the first entry in Jackall's Driftfry line to use a high-buoyancy elastomer material, giving it strong floating characteristics for methods that rely on buoyancy, such as twitching on the surface. The rib carries a guide hole and a nail sinker hole as standard, so anglers can set up the bait precisely and add a nail sinker for hovering presentations, including pairing it with a Luster Blade to keep a rig sitting horizontally in the water column.

Nine colourways are offered, including new "Sight Specialty" colours with a sight marker moulded into the back for extra visibility on sight-fishing presentations. The bait is Feco-certified for use in JB/NBC tournaments; because the elastomer material can react with other hard and soft lures in storage, it should be kept apart from the rest of the tackle box.

Information

The swimming action

A signature lip carries the retrieve feel through the reduced size, giving a supple, lifelike wobble even at fry-sized dimensions, while a head rib helps convert rod action into a tight rolling motion.

When to throw it

A downsized shad profile suited to matching small baitfish and fry patterns, useful when bass are keyed onto smaller forage or when a subtler presentation is needed on pressured, heavily fished water.

How to work it

A nail-sinker hole in the lip allows added weight for hovering or suspending presentations; work it on a slow twitch or roll, and trim the twist tail to tone the action down if needed.

The setup it likes

A light-to-medium spinning rod around 6'6"-7', a 2500 size reel and 6-10lb fluorocarbon suit this bait's small profile, finesse presentation and the hover or suspending set-ups it is built for.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.
