Description

The Dempsey Jack 42 is a 42mm soft plastic topwater bait from Jackall, built from an ultra-soft elastomer material around a hollow body with a water-drain hole. Rigged with a hook, it's tuned to an ultra-slow sinking fall of around 4.5g so it works right under the surface film, and the soft, compressible body helps the hook set even on a light bite.

Its hollow construction gives it a sharp, quick turn on pin-spot casts, creating a moment of hesitation that can draw a strike from bass that had already refused other baits. Available in Sunburned Striped Shrimp, Straight Black, Shuffle Step Wakasagi and Flash Pearl Shad.

Information

The swimming action

An ultra-soft elastomer, hollow body sinks at an ultra-slow rate of around 4.5g so it works just under the surface film, and the hollow construction gives it a sharp, quick turn on pin-spot casts.

When to throw it

Suited to bass that have already refused other topwater and subsurface baits, worked over cover and open water where a moment of hesitation from the quick-turn action can draw a reaction strike.

How to work it

Cast to a precise spot and work it with sharp twitches to trigger the quick turn, then let it hang on the ultra-slow sink; the soft, compressible body helps the hook set even on a light bite.

The setup it likes

A medium spinning or light baitcasting rod, 10-14lb fluorocarbon and a size 2500-3000 reel or matching baitcaster suit this bait's slow-fall, finesse-topwater presentation around cover and open water for pressured bass.

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.
