What it's built for

Built for offshore jig fishing where jigs are cast out and worked back rather than simply dropped and lifted vertically, suited to boat sessions covering structure and current lines. It suits structure well within casting range of the boat.

How it fishes

Worked with a cast-and-retrieve jigging cadence, casting the jig out before working it back with sweeps and pauses rather than fishing it purely vertically under the boat. This technique can draw reaction strikes that vertical jigging alone misses.
