Evergreen D-Zone 1/2oz DW

The D-Zone 1/2oz Double Willow Leaf is Morizo Shimizu's tournament-spec spinnerbait, built around a hammered blade set (front #2, rear #3) tuned individually per size rather than simply scaled up or down. A special-shape light-wire arm amplifies blade vibration through to the head, its tip cut short enough to leave the hook point clear for a good hook-up rate, while beads lock the blades in place to stop unwanted sliding and keep the cast trajectory tidy. Every split ring is soldered so the blades can't be lost, and a low-centre-of-gravity head vents water through gill-shaped grooves to help the lure hold its running depth.

In this Double Willow configuration the front and rear blades use different cup shapes — a narrower, faster-spinning blade up front and a wider blade behind — which cuts down the vibration loss that double-willow spinnerbaits can suffer from blade interference, producing a crisp, tight thump suited to clear-to-stained water. Evergreen recommend a Medium-Light to Medium-Heavy 6'6"–7'0" baitcasting rod with 8–16lb fluorocarbon or 10–20lb nylon line for the 1/2oz size.
