The swimming action

The largest model in the Boso Frog series is built to imitate the size and swimming action of toads and bullfrogs that monster-class bass are known to prey on, with salt weighting in the belly letting the elastomer body sink and kick powerfully on the fall.

When to throw it

Aimed squarely at trophy-class bass keyed on large amphibian prey, suited to heavy cover and low-light periods when big fish move up to feed. Overcast skies, low light and the last hour before dark are typically when the biggest bass move up onto the mat or pads to feed on the surface.

How to work it

Let it sink and kick on the fall where the powerful frog kick draws the most interest, working it with occasional pulls through cover rather than a continuous retrieve. Keep slack out of the line through the retrieve so the hookset can be driven home the instant a fish engulfs the bait rather than just swirling at it.

The setup it likes

Heavy-power tackle, a strong baitcaster, PE 2-3 (or 30-40 lb equivalent) braid, 16 lb+ fluorocarbon leader and a 7/0-8/0 hook match Engine's own recommendation for this bait. A stiff, fast-taper blank matters here, since it takes real rod pressure to pull a big bass clear of matted cover once it has been hooked.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.
