Description

The Ecogear Rock Max 5 is a 5" (102mm) soft plastic worm from Ecogear's ROCK MAX line, built around a thick curly tail that produces strong wave vibrations. A side wing limits body revolution during the swim, and the non-salt material construction gives a stable, natural action on a slow retrieve.

Rigged on a jighead for rock and structure fishing, the Rock Max 5 suits anglers targeting bottom-hugging species with a bulky, high-action soft plastic profile.

Information

The swimming action

A thick curly tail produces strong wave vibrations on a slow retrieve, while a side wing limits body revolution and the non-salt material construction gives a stable, natural action even at this larger size. That kind of natural, unhurried presentation matters most in clear, calm water where fish get a long, close look at a bait before deciding whether to eat it.

When to throw it

A bulky, high-action grub suited to rock and structure fishing, useful when targeting bottom-hugging species that respond to a larger profile than the smaller Rock Max sizes offer. It is worth carrying a small spread of jighead weights and colours to cover the different current strengths and light levels you meet across a session.

How to work it

Rig on a jighead and fish with a slow, steady retrieve close to structure, letting the side wing and curly tail keep the vibration consistent at low speed. Keep the rod tip low and watch the line closely, since bites from light-game species often show up as nothing more than a faint tap or a slight change in tension.

The setup it likes

A rockfish spinning rod around L to ML power, a 2000-2500 reel, 4-8 lb main line and a 4-8 lb fluorocarbon leader suit the jigheads this larger grub is fished on. A soft, forgiving rod tip helps cushion light hooks and fine leaders so fish stay pinned all the way back to the net or rock ledge.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?

Yes. Every item is genuine, sourced only through authorised distributors — never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
