Description

The ez-SLIM® CLOTH is an 80mm, 4g floating shrimp-style squid jig (sutte) from DUEL for squid fishing. It uses a wave-motion body and rolling shaft that spins smoothly to prevent line twist while creating natural swaying motion in tide and wave action, with fluffy cloth-wrapped "feet" designed to encourage squid to grip and hold on.

Japanese name: Easy Slim, Cloth-Wrapped (ez-SLIM® CLOTH). This listing stocks 4 colourways: LKOZ (Black Orange Zebra), BRYZ (Red Yellow Zebra), KVUZ (Purple Zebra), and SHBL (Shadow Black).

Information

The swimming action

The ez-SLIM CLOTH is a floating, shrimp-style squid jig with a wave-motion body and a rolling shaft that spins smoothly to prevent line twist while creating a natural swaying motion in tide and wave action. Fluffy cloth-wrapped feet are designed to encourage squid to grip and hold on.

When to throw it

Suited to eging sessions over shallow reef, weed and sand-mix ground where squid are actively feeding near the surface or mid-layer and a natural, slow-fluttering profile is needed. It also suits daytime sessions over deeper reef and drop-offs where a stable fall and natural sway carry more weight than bright colour alone.

How to work it

Cast and let it settle, then work it with sharp upward jerks followed by a controlled fall on a semi-slack line, where most squid grip on; repeat the jerk-fall sequence back to the rod tip. Watch the line for the subtle tap or weight of a squid gripping on, and strike with a firm, steady sweep rather than a sharp jerk.

The setup it likes

Suits a 7'6"-8'6" eging-specific spinning rod, a 2500-3000 reel, PE0.6-1.0 braid and a 1.5-2.5 lb fluorocarbon leader. A shock-absorbing eging-specific tip helps prevent pulling the jig away from a gripping squid before the strike is fully loaded. A shock-absorbing eging-specific tip helps prevent pulling the jig away from a gripping squid before the strike is fully loaded.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

How long does delivery take?
