Description

The Abu Garcia ABUMATIC 170S (アブマチック 170S) is a Classic-series spincast reel from Abu Garcia Japan built for easy, one-touch casting: hold the thumb push-button in, raise the rod to the shoulder, swing forward, and release the button around the 10-o'clock position to let line out; after the lure lands, turning the handle clockwise re-engages the retrieve.

It has a Synchro Drag system: winding the handle clockwise retrieves normally, while turning the handle counter-clockwise during a fight drops to a lighter drag setting than the drag knob's normal pressure, for playing fish on a softer drag.

Spec: 3.9:1 gear ratio, 3+1 bearings, instant anti-reverse, aluminium body and front cone, dura-gear brass gearing, comes pre-spooled with 3-go line (100m). This model is right-hand-only and cannot be converted to left-hand; no spare spool or deep-spool is included.
